From 16 to 18 October 2008 the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarianism and Democracy is organizing an international conference:

Fifty Years European Parliament, Experiences and Perspectives

During four sessions the following topics will be discussed:

  Historical Development and Perspectives of the European Parliament.

  European Parliament and the Hellenic Experience. A discussion amongst Greek Parliamentarians.
• - 

  The European Parliament as part of the institutional architecture of Europe.
• - 

  European Parliament and National Parliaments.

The sessions will be conducted by a number of prominent speakers from the scientific world and daily practice. The conference will be held in Athens, Greece.
