A chair in Legislative Studies at the University of Luxembourg will be initiated on Monday, October 3rd 2011, at an opening session within the premises of the Luxembourgish parliament. The chair holder and the associated researchers will present the objectives of the chair, its first research orientations, its initial partnerships with other chairs and research centers in parliamentary studies in Europe and the Commonwealth, as well as its website http://législatives.eu
The opening session will be disclosed by the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Laurent Mosar.
Philippe Poirier, henceforth chair holder besides being associate professor in political science at the Collège des Bernardins and at the University of Paris Sorbonne (Celsa), is responsible for implementing the aforesaid convention. He will direct the research activities for the ongoing legislature 2009 to 2014 and beyond.
