Biographical Dictionary of the Spanish Parliament - Hoofdinhoud
Prosoparlam 's research project 'Biographical Dictionary of the Spanish Parliament' (2007-2011) has resulted into a compilation of biographies of members of the Spanish Parliament. This Biographical Dictionary of the Spanish Parliament consists of nearly 3,800 biographies. These are written by 389 researchers from 80 universities all over Europe and America. 16,526 references have been used.
The biographies were written from original archival sources, which are very notable contributions to the historical knowledge in general and to parliamentary history in particular. With the information used for the writing of the biographies Prosoparlam has constructed a biographical database of parliamentary activity with over 23,000 records.
The Spanish parliament has published the first edition dictionary: Biographical Dictionary of the Spanish Parliament (1810-1814) , in print and digital editions. It is planning to issue the digital edition of the Biographical Dictionary of the Spanish Parliament (1820-1854) shortly.
