The Venice Commission organises a conference entitled: "The European Electoral Heritage - Ten Years of the Code of Good Practice in Electoral Matters", under the auspices of the Albanian Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, in co-operation with the the National Assembly and the Central Election Commission of Albania.

The European Commission for Democracy through Law, also known as the Venice Commission, was established in 1990 pursuant to a Partial Agreement of the Council of Europe. It is a consultative body which co-operates with member states of the Council of Europe and with non-member states.
